1. Unbelief in those watching
2. Occult involvement of those watching
3. Some damage or spiritual influence in the spiritual realm, attached to the building where ministry is taking place.
4. Some Possible Blocks in those Ministering
5. The person ministering is not a Christian, and therefore not Spirit-equipped
6. Unbelief (e.g. with cancer: the prayer of the heart is, "He's a goner !", despite an upbeat prayer from the lips. Learn to pray within your faith - first for relief from pain, then more deeply)
7. Serious unconfessed sin or defective lifestyle
8. The person ministering is demonised (this is not common!)
9. God didn’t command it! - so it shouldn't have been prayed.
10. Unconfessed occult practice or unresolved occult ancestry
11. Tiredness, leading to lack of concentration and lack of hearing
12. Wrong diagnosis (e.g. someone dies after prayer for physical healing, when in fact the Lord wishes to heal through death)
13. Pride/posing
14. Personal inadequacy being met through the significance of ministering - motivated by own needs rather than love
15. Right diagnosis, wrong timing (it is the Lord's desire to heal, but not completely today!)
16. Emotional involvement blurring discernment
17. Not standing under authority in the local church God withholds power
18. Damaged relationships with others ministering, so God withholds power
19. Ministering solo where a team is more appropriate
20. Blocks in the person ministered to
21. God wants to do something else first (genuine conversion? bring to repentance for real forgiveness?)
22. Demonic obstruction. If this requires fasting, and you didn't discern this the day before, you'll need to postpone!
23. Need to change lifestyle to remove causes before God heals (e.g. reduce stress before healing ulcer; healing of obesity!)
24. Curse {known or unknown} Look for multiple independent corroboration of a specific discernment of a curse before pursuing this too far - in some circles this may just be a fashionable guess.
25. Doesn't want to be healed (security of status as invalid)
26. Wrong expectation from wrong teaching (e.g. "It must be a demon" , "It couldn't be a demon", physical illness must be God's punishment)
27. Emotional wounding resulting in difficulty receiving from the Father
28. Unbelief. Please note that this is last in the list!
OR Everything may be apparently flawless in the environment, the ministry team and the person ministered to ... and still there is not apparent healing. On these occasions all we can do is recognise that there are unfathomable mysteries in ministering healing - and exercise our faith in God!
"Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my
inmost being, praise his holy
name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems
your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who
satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed
like the eagle's."

1. Forgiveness from sins
2. Healing of all diseases
3. Redeeming your life from destruction
4. Crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies
5. Satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is
renewed like the eagle
The Lord Jesus heals all disease and sickness. Read the evidence
